Field Performance Testing and Yield Evaluation of Mini Cultivator TKC 450 for Potato Cultivation

The evaluation of the TKC 450 mini cultivator highlights its role in enhancing the efficiency and precision of potato cultivation in smallholder farming systems. Implemented during the main cropping season in Lembang, the study compares mechanized and manual practices to illustrate the operational advantages of modern cultivation technology. Findings indicate that the TKC 450 offers consistent performance in furrow formation and inter-row weeding, supporting better crop establishment while reducing dependence on manual labor—an increasingly critical factor in regions with tightening agricultural workforce availability. Through standardized field procedures and comprehensive measurement of operational, agronomic, and safety parameters, the study demonstrates the cultivator’s ability to streamline key cultivation operations with greater speed, uniformity, and field capacity. Statistical analysis further reinforces the tool’s effectiveness in improving work efficiency and crop development outcomes. These results position the TKC 450 as a reliable and practical mechanization solution, offering farmers a competitive advantage in productivity, labor savings, and sustainable cultivation practices.
